Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I must speak about the panacotta. It's one of the best I had in my life (and I had a lot). I'm currently in Sardinia, and our lunch ended as well with a panacotta. That's when I remember that great dessert we had a few days ago in Rocamadour. It was creamy, with a very pronounced cream taste, and the strawberry coulis, made with freah fruits was offering so much contrast with the milky taste....delicioso. Before the panacotta we had the main dish, made with some local duck meat. And some very well roasted french fries. The whole meal is very consistent, prices are reasonable, the service is speedy and excellent, and the restaurant is just before the main gate. So we can eat before visiting Rocamadour, and doing a second stop on our way back."
"If I could give this place more stars I would. We turned up early and enjoyed a carafe of wine while we decided on what to eat off the menu.We had one of the most delicious, enjoyable, relaxing meals we have had in a long time. The restaurant was busy and at times full but the service from the chef and the waitress was perfection. They made it look effortless. The waitress even spoke fluent English and Spanish making everyone feel relaxed. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Fantastic food and excellent value for money."
"Delicious, honest food made with local ingredients at a fair price Friendly service The ambience could do with a little revamp, but everything is fine."
"It was the only place serving some food at night So the options were limited. However, we were surprised how great these options were!. The food is very simple but very tasty. I liked everything we ordered and would visit this place another time to try their whole menu."
"Had the best French meal I’ve had in France! From start to finish it was excellent. Staff were very helpful."
"Great restaurant, nice staff (the lady even politely pretended to understand my French). Wery good confit de canard and other disches. Good choice of wine and beers. Very reasonable prices."
"Wonderfull dinner at the cosy french bistro. Food was delicious, service was friendly despite my bad french... Prices were also realy fair."
"A very authentic French experience - the food was very good, especially the duck confit and house frites. The service was good, although we had to wait a long time to be seated despite a reservation. The atmosphere was not the best - there were flies EVERYWHERE, the stuffing and springs were coming out of my chair making sitting very uncomfortable and the family next to us had a screaming baby for the entire meal that made it difficult to even hear one another. This also isn’t the place for views of rocamadour - you need to go further up or down for that. Overall, it your priority is good food at the expense of atmosphere then this is a good pick - otherwise, venture elsewhere"
